nature pics thread.

Post by brianj »

we had a pretty good thread going that I think Trybe started over at AS that was mostly sunsets. Here's a couple of my latest.

This little guy thought he was going to hitch a ride. We went through a drive through, and when I got on the highway we noticed him. He managed to stay on through 90 mph, and turning on the wipers. Finally he gave up, and flew off.

Here's a couple of a recent storm rolling into our office. It was pretty cool, and lasted only but a minute.

Here are a couple that I shot this summer.

One is two small visitors we had to our campsite one night. They were only babies, and very cute.

And the other is a butterfly, but I don't remember exactly when or where I took it except that is was this summer some time.

Nice pics everyone.
Ok. Here's some from this past summer.

My pet Banana spider Fritzie. He's about 1-1/2" without the legs. Lucky for him, he lives outside of the pool enclosure. Otherwise, I'd have to kill him :axe:

Then here's Mr. Turtle ummm Tortoise. I stood still as a statue so I could take his pic. He actually came right over to my foot! Then paused, & circled around behind. We think he prolly thought my shoe was a ceasar-salad. My toes could've been the cherry tomatoes!

All of those pics are from my trip around Georgion Bay here in Ontario, the first few are from the most northern point and the water pics are from the ferry from the island to the peninsula... If I recall correctly that was taken along the shore of Lake Ontario in Pickering a couple of years back.

This looks real familiar. Where on the map is it?

Sounds like during your trip you touched on the area my parents spend their summers. They sail out from Little Current, and either go west or east depending upon the weather. They don't get too far into the feorgian bay though. The last time I was up there with them was nearly 14 years ago.
