Could You Pass the Citizenship Test?

Post by CaptSquid »

In October 2008 a new version of the U.S. citizenship test will be taken by all applicants. Could you pass it? The questions are usually selected from a list of 100 samples that prospective citizens can look at ahead of the interview. Some are easy, some are not. We have picked some of the more difficult ones.

It's multiple guess.

I got this same thing in an email today. I missed a couple, but only the ones that I didn't go with my first instinct on.

It's called history. You know, that silly stuff that helps guide us, breeds pride (or not), helps you understand the world around you and how it works, etc....

Not that I'm very good at it. But you asked.

got 65%, better than I though, but I agree, what does, knowing what dead person did what, do to help decide if someone should be a resident or not.... plus if your allowed to study for it, why shouldn't almost anyone be able to pass it... they even offer the test in other languages, for those who don't English.

By now you would think there would have been enough changes between how people in England talk and US citizens talk that we would have perfected an exclusively American language.....

It ticks me off, when you hear people speaking english as you approach and then when they notice you, they start talking in different language.... and even more when I insert my debit card into the atm machine and before you can enter your password, it gives you a choice of english or spanish........... if I go to a bank in the US, us a card that's printed in English, asking for money that's printed in English, I don't think that should be an option, or at least it shouldn't be the first question asked......

and people driving vehicles with flags of other countries in and on them, should be required to also have a US flag displayed as well.........
