I remember a guy out of Mich that did do a US tour with a sbc injected bike. They would deep stage the bike and put it on a kick stand.Bring up the "r's and push the bike off the stand. He would smoke them almost the whole 1/4 mile.

Apparently the owner doesn't realize how ugly it is. $50K opening bid, yeah right.

Now that's totally insane. Gary, I remember the "Michigan Madman". He may have been the first to put a V8 in a bike. That CanAm motor is probably worth the $50,000. There's not very many of those around. \:D/

you can actually buy a production motorcycle with a v8 it is called the "boss hoss" they are nuts. I have even seen one with a 572 crate motor on nitrous. they look just like a harley and if you didn't look close you might walk right by and not notice the engine. that is untill he fires it up.

That would be the "Michigan Madman", for certain! His name is/was E.J.Potter! Saw him run in Georgia when the bike was carbureted, 4x2 bbls I think it was. It was a direct drive deal, Ol' EJ would prop the rear whel up on the stand at the starting line, start it, and run the engine up to unreal RPM and push 'er off of that stand!!!! Wow what a ride. Ran 9 second ET's when the fastest match racers (Phil Bonner-Arnie Beswick-Hayden Profitt, et al) were barely in the 10's!!! Which ever way it was pointed, it got there in a helluva hurry!
