That bottom pic kind of looks like an ole south Alabama river cat but without the wiskers and the back fin isn't right for a cat. What is that monster ?

The top pic is a snook, and the middle pic is a barracuda.

The bottom pic is a Goliath Grouper aka/Jewfish. It was caught by my buddy when we were shark fishing from shore. This is actually a little guy. We estimated him to be about 250 lbs.. We get them off the wrecks offshore up to 500-600 lbs.. They can get to 800+ lbs..

A few more of the baby......

The water does look like some rain forest/Amazon type sludge, doesn't it. We had a nasty algea outbreak around that time making the water look like soup.

now i traded all my sea poles in for ultralights & love trout &bass fishing . i have a few spots here i hit as oftenas i can . sorry no pics though , never think to bring a camera when we go . probably cuz its just way to early in the morning & i'm lucky if i remeber to grab my coffee !!!! #-o #-o

I fish, but all my pics are on film or I can't find them. I will see what I can find.

I used to fish but I gave it up when I realized that I was terrible at it. About the same time I realized I suffered from chronic, horrible, debilitating sea sickness.

Well growing up, I never had anyone show me how to fish, but now that I have a son, I'm determined to teach him how to fish (even though I STILL don't know how to) Unfortunately, the only thing we have managed to catch is Puffer fish and wouldn't you know it, my son catches bigger puffer fish than me!!! It's funny, he is determined to catch a dolphin with his little spiderman fishing pole!

I also had no one show me how to fish as a kid. I didn't even know that I had to set the hook. I caught a few fish, but not very many.

Then when I was in my 20's I was talking with a friend of mine who fished a lot, and mentioned that I used to fish. He asked if I wanted to go with him sometime bass fishing. I said sure, expecting the same sort of thing I experienced as a kid. He watched me fish for 3 minutes, told me how I should feel for the hit and then set the hook. After that I caught a whole lot more fish. Not to say I'm not skunked any longer, but that is usually because I insist on fishing when the conditions are not really good. I still enjoy it because I can get out, and enjoy some quiet time along the river. I've never fished from anything larger than a canoe though. That could be fun, but a whole different approach.

I refuse to take pictures while fishing..... Easier to tell fish stories that way :-$

But ya I don't fish much nope not me..... I don't carry 4 different rods/reels and a fully stocked tackle box in my van at all times just in case I see a killer spot.... Nope not me!

I'm also not trying my hand at building a v hull fibreglass bass boat using the stitch and seam method. Nope not me I don't fish nope not at all.

I also don't try my damnedest to make an annual muskie trip to lower buckhorn. I mean what are muskie anyways ???

Jim you need to get in a shallow V and go into the shallow areas of piddock. For such a seemingly crappy lake you can pull some huge northern pike out of the salad there. Not to mention some alright bass. If you ever get the hankerin for some insane bass fishing tho lemme know and I'll let you in on my secret lake. I know of a very not well known lake in southern Ontario that I regularly pull 10 - 12 LB SMALL mouth out of. My dad started taking me there as kid then when I got older gave me the directions there. Lets put it this way the "road" upto it is the most inconspicuous farmers lane looking dirt path ever.
