S10 Den, glad to see you found us here.
I'm intrigued to know what you can tell us of S-10 manual transmissions that can live behind a V8 swap. I dimly see a 5 speed manual being installed in my 305 89 Astro at some point in the future...

SafariRob--A nv3500 from a 4.3 s10 works great! Now I would not suggest you go powershifting and beating on hard, But the last one I done was a 93 tbi 350 5 speed.Worked flawlessly. The nv3500(stock 4.3 tranny) has the same torque ratings as the fullsize tranny. At the same time, I have destroyed them with a 75 shot on a stock 4.3!!!So that there tells you what they will and wont hold.Busted the input shaft and busted the 2 nd gear in it, 2 weeks later, did the exact same thing, again. As long as you dont power shift it(meaning never let off the go fast peddal) it will last forever behind a stock v8,hope that helps ya...
Thanks for the warm welcome guys, this place looks great!!!!
