door emblems(removel)

Post by s10-den »

I went to take the safariEX door emblems off last night and got behind them with my putty knife, and felt what I thought to be a stud? Are they bolted on the doors?

My '99 did not have any,...just sticky!
Thin wire works well,a little thinner or goo-off dripped down behind helps.
Do a search on removal. I remember some detailed discussions on this subject.

My 94 AstroEXT has 2 bolts for each emblem going thru the door. It's very accesible though. Just take of the door panel with the window up and you can reach them. You'll need what looks like a 3/8" socket, though I'm sure a pair of pliers would work just as easy.

my 94 didn't have nuts on the inside of the door. just the 2 metal pins for positioning, plastic thingies they go in to and 3M tape on the outside.

That's how it is on my 94 EXT. Shouldn't be too hard to fill them in though.
