The engine RPM's are supposed to go up a bit to compensate for the A/C compressor's load. My van goes way too low on the RPMs when the A/C is on and there's a lot of vibration when this happens.

Exactly- are these compressors known for not lasting long?crash wrote:two vehicles and same issue with me this summer. i think it has something to do with the compressor not being lubricated enough or something going inside of it. the idle gets low... it's like there's a huge drain on the motor .. or the entire pulley system for that matter.
perhaps someone else knows for sure.
