Thanks for linky WVKayaker but my question is slightly different. BTW I answered twice in your post lol.

My question is that I do have matching sizing but how far off in thread depth till I get the bad shakes. AWD, G80 '97 (no ATC fuse). Yesh Sir.

When I was installing tires we matched up to within a 16th. Technically GM recommends to keep them withing 3/32nds Or else you will start to see transfer case engagement on dry pavement.

Hmmm I will look for the fuse again but I remember seeing that the fuse for the AWD was also the fuse for a few other items in the Safari :(
nor am I wanting to go out right now - freaking snowing during Spring time - what's up with that!?

I checked the spare under mine and found it flat.... so I guess I would be one who doesn't run it down by rotating it......

no room inside for spare, so I need to pull the flat one out and at least replace it with one that holds air.....

am contemplating a rear door, bumper or body mounted spare tire holder.

and will be up grading to lite truck tires in spring, so will save best tire for spare at that time (replaced one a few weeks ago) but probably wont rotate it with the others, since it is a passenger tire and they will be light truck..... might not be a good idea to mix

Nope it really isn't. LT tires tend to have a much stiffer sidewall than P tires. Now the amount is different between manufacturers and models. But the fact they are different generally holds true.
