Got the dreaded call

Post by Bubbathegimp »

Hospice nurse Said that mom only had a couple hours left.
went to cincy. She has so far beat their expectations by 3 days now.
everybody knows its coming. She's been unconcious for a week and hasnt
eaten or drank anything. No I.V. & doing what they call modeling, turning blue & body temp dropping.
only moves her left arm. can only count about 6-8 breaths a min.
tough old bird.
Still Kickin...

Hate to hear this news and know it's difficult for all. She sounds like a tough cookie. Try to be strong for the others.

Sorry to hear that Bubba , we're here for ya if you need us . God Bless & keep strong .

God's Blessings Bubba, it's tough I know. My mom passed back in 04. Similar circumstances.
'89 Astro, 4.3L, TBI. Minor intake and exhaust mods. Rebuilt 700R4 trans (by me). Corvette servo, 0.5" boost valve, police grade 1-2 accumulator spring (shifts fast and solid). B&M stacked plate trans cooler. Bilstein shocks. Belltech sway bars front and back. New head unit, speakers and subwoofer. Needs paint and a new headliner.

my grandma died a few weeks ago. Her kidneys failed and she had congestive heart failure... She lasted a few days longer then they expected, but just a few breaths a minute. They eventually just gave her shots of morphine till she passed. She was 87. She had different kinds of cancer, 2 fake hips in her, and a whole list of other things.. In my opinion shes better off now. I got to see alot of my family at the funeral that i havn't seen in a while, I think every one was some what releived that she is in a better place.
I can relate to how you feel.

There is a time when all of are going to pass on into the next realm. And in my opinion there's no way I'd want my loved one to continue on here in pain and suffering. I watched my youngest brother die from cancer. It was a terrible time. And it was a relief when he finally died. All of us here know what you are going through. It will pass. Life goes on.

sorry to hear she passed on but now no more pain. Skip and I had the same experience. My younger brother had been slowly dieing for years while suffering from childhood diabeties. I was able to take up the game of golf, something he loved very much and play with him a few years. Special times to cherish and I'm so happy he no longer suffers. Keep the memories close. She is at peace.
