Slow again.
I was told getting my beauty sleep was a waste of time.

1990 Astro (Z motor) mostly original @ 343,584 miles (552,944.8488960001 Canadian) (03/2008). Bad startup puff. Starting to spray for skeeters. Gone 06/07/08.
1993 Astro with a bad W motor. Parked next to a chicken coop in Talking Rock GA
I'm 'tween Canton and Holly Springs (North NorthWest of Atlanta GA)
I haul bottled water everyday- between 500 and 2500 pounds (226.796185 and 1,133.980925 Canadian) INSIDE the van.

Still slow....

So I check the online status and it reads...

In total there is 1 user online :: 1 Registered, 0 Hidden and 0 Guests

If it is slow with one user online, how slow will it be when there are many users online, like when AS.com is down?
:-k

the amount of users online should have little effect on the speed of the site.

After seeing most of the responses here and the times of slowness, i'm going to have to assume that the problem lies in the SQL server that the site databases reside on.

I'm going to ask the host to move the databases to a different server.

Also I got this note from the host....
We are continuously enhancing the performance of our servers to deliver the best to our customers as the part of it we have upgraded our CGI servers and on the way to install some new SQL hardware to our servers. We are aware of the Web site slowness issue and on the way to fix it as soon as possible.
So the problem is being addressed, it may take a little time.

Thanks for the update.

Just sucks that this site has to be slow right now while AS.com is down.

Thanks for looking into that. If this is upgrade related, that would explain its happening sometimes but not others. The speed is good for me today. Hopefully that indicates that things are getting done :)

Started this at 16:20. Took 2 minutes to pull up the Main Forum page, 3 minutes to sign in, and 3 minutes to pull up this thread. :-({|=

Edit. At 16:56 the site suddenly started loading super quick. =D>

I haven't had any speed problems in the last day or so. Speed has ranged from good to excellent. Right now it is excellent, virtually instantanious.

Sure, I had it fast for a while, but now it is slow. Oh the joys of upgrades. My bet is when it is slow is when the server company is working on their upgrade.
