Do a tune-up...plugs, wires, cap, rotor and possibly a coil unless they were just done in the last few months.

check the wire boots on the spark plugs to make sure they are seated well.

I'm with Lifted on this. If you have not have the plugs, wires, cap and rotor done, do them. I had similar problems before I did that, and it solved them. Also, stick with the genuine AC Delco cap and rotor, as with anything else you will be replacing it in a years time. BTDT.

Pull the engine cover and see if it still persists. Carefully check the routing of the wires, particularly the coil wire. The coil wire can arc to the motor cover, trans dipstick tube, etc. Easy to see at night (dark) with the motor running. Even new wires can do this if misrouted.

Could be a weak (and getting weaker) coil. Same symptoms.

You may think about cleaning the EGR valve, although these throw check engine lights usually.

Check the motor mounts. Mine were so bad that the engine side of the mount was touching the frame. It felt like it was a rough idle when actually it was the engine vibration transfering to the frame. \:D/

It was terrible when the van was just sitting still like at a traffic signal. \:D/
