Well I got the lift on and figured I'd test her out. We drove up the Poudre canyon, which is about 10 miles away from where we live and on into the forest for an overnight trip.
Here's the drive up:
Heres the van all set up:
and the view:
we had a great time. the lift is awesome and the scenery was beautiful (as always here in colorado!), but we had to come home and get back to work. Luckily this is where we live:

Re: 1st lifted camping trip!
Sweet pics. The van looks like its in its natural habitat out there.
Colorado is another place I could definitely live (except that I'm a Wings fan!). So much to do and see out there. That van is the perfect Colorado rig.
What tires did you go with?

Your van looks great. Nice job. I think you could live in Colorado two lifetimes and still not get used to the beauty of those mountains. I flew balloons in the Breckenridge valley. Those flights were the most awesome in my ballooning adventures.

I went with "Kelly" 31"x10.5 Trail Guide A/P's. Supposed to be a "nicer a/t tire for on road use. They are still plenty meaty though...didn't loose traction once.T.Low wrote:Sweet pics. The van looks like its in its natural habitat out there.

Re: 1st lifted camping trip!
Thanks, I totally agree. It's amazing out here. I see balloons up flying almost every day. I've never been up in one here, but I did go over the tetons. That was breathtaking.Smiliesafari wrote:Your van looks great. Nice job. I think you could live in Colorado two lifetimes and still not get used to the beauty of those mountains.
