Last week I picked up a used rear axle for my 2000 AWD. I was lucky enough to find one from a '99 that matched my 3.73 ring gear.
I was going to do the swap Monday, but I ran into an old buddy while at NAPA getting new brake shoes for the project.
Turns out he has a shop now and he invites me over to do the swap there. So last night after work I went over and swapped out the axle. Took about 4 hours w/ no major problems.
Bring on the SNOW!

Yes Sir, a G80 & snow are a good combo. Kinda like having the winning hand at poker. A nice added benefit is having a friend with a shop. How many miles on old/new rear end? Thanks, Jim
Update w/ snow!
We had snow here last week and it was cold enough that the snow stayed on the streets. No salt here. My street was packed down hard so as I rolled up to my house I slowed nearly to a stop.
Then I just floored it!
I had all 4 Toyos spinning! Can't say I've ever done that before
If I put the Blizzaks back on, it'll be unstoppable!
