Hello all

Post by BREAK »

Great site and community you have here. I've really enjoyed reading all of the topics and posts here and have learned a lot that I'm sure will come in handy soon enough.

I bought a 95 astro about 8 months ago for my girlfriend to drive and haul her kids around in, it was the first thing i found for less than $1,500 that wasn't a piece of crap. Little did i know i would fall in love with it by the time i got it home. So obviously i had to buy one for myself as well \:D/
I got myself a nice 2000 with all the options you can get on one that isn't a conversion. I love both of them but honestly i enjoy driving her cheaper and older 2WD more.

It's nice to see so many other people that love their astros as much or more than i do. I don't see myself without at least one for many, many years.

So is there a new tactic to make your girlfriend not feel jealous you have newer more plush ride by driving HER ride??? :poke:

Welcome!!!
The older style rides seem to generally have more "get-go" than the newer rides. Last weekend I was driving a 1994 Astro EXT AWD and it felt more powerful than mine when stock.

If you drive illegally, they take your driver's license. If you're here illegally, they want to give you one :)

I don't remember why but we switched vans a few weeks ago, so of course my nice "leather" interior is now 6 to 8 inches deep in boogers, half-eaten pop tarts and cookies.

Seems that way to me as well. Mine rides better but her's kind of "leaps" from a dead stop and i have to keep an eye on my speed. Feels like i have to push mine to go the speed limit.
