Portland neewb!

Post by rubberdown »

Hey Gang,
So I just signed up for the forum here, and already have been amazed at some of the tips & answers! Thanks in advance!

So yelling out from portland oregon here. Bought our 99 Astro Awd 3 years ago for a 3 week california road trip & fell crazy in love with it! Myself, fiance, 2 lab mixes & everything from bedding, food & entertainment crammed into the van with the help of the thule above, and man, what a trip it was!

Just lost my job that came with a company truck, so updating things on the van as it's my daily driver now. We are about to pull the trigger on the 4" overland lift kit, which I have some questions about that I will post elsewhere later. We are pretty much set up as a two passenger rig, since the dogs take up space & we primarily use it for hiking & camping and the sorts. I have a graphics buddy working on some decals, we've named her GHETTOBAGO and she's gonna get labled!

Look forward to learning more about the van and tips and the sorts, ya'll have got some cool looking rigs & the inspirations starting to flow!

Cheers,
Kevin

Thanks for the welcome fella's. I'll post up a few pics in a day or so, after she's back together. They'll be plenty more pics coming, she's going up 4" & going from 27" tires to 30". Speaking of which, I may have to roll around a month or so with the lift in & the 27's still on, outside of looking dorky anybody see a safety issue in that?

Cheers
