Gordon,

I do vaguely remember someone here saying you can flip the engine mounts of the 4.3 side to side and that would work.

Ya you can flip the mounts and move them forward 3" but you have to make an extension plate on the drivers side.. not a huge deal but mounts are so much easier.

I wish... the ones for the Datsun are $315... so i'm going to use a front engine plate and mount it solid.

A Safari and a ZX. You're my hero. I have a '96 Safari and a '82 ZX Turbo GL Coupe. The V8 mounts are a snap to fab. For either of the swaps you want to do. \:D/

We paid a bit more for our Z. It's a one owner. Spent 13 years in storage in Colorado. Fully loaded. We also have a 78 280Z. One owner also. Three car shows and three first place trophys. Love those Z's. Way fun car to drive. \:D/

You can do what I did, I took two pieces of 1/4 inch steel approx 2.5 X 6 inches measure and drill the holes to bolt these to the block. Bolt a set of V8 chevy mounts to the frame mounts in the van. Set the engine in and align it to the trans. Then climb under the van and make the marks where the block mounts will bolt to the steel plates. Remove the engine, unbolt the motor mounts from the frame mounts, & remove the plates from the block. Drill the holes for the mounts in the steel and bolt the mounts to the steel then the steel to the block and there you have your V8 mounts. You can also weld the mounts to the plates instead of bolting if you have a good enough welder. I know this is alot of work but I did this before I found the
this website (or the other site) Good luck, Mark
