I spent a few minutes of day light i had left looking for where the hose went and could not find it. i was able to trace the other 2 vaccum lines and they are bad. however i still can not find where this one stragler goes to. I wish I could find a pic of the layout so I would not feel so dumb and could just fix it.

I just fixed the vent issue (vacuum line) on my 99 safari. i traced the vacuum line from the control panel inside. It runs from the panel through the firewall on the passenger side of the doghouse.. it is two lines there. in the engine compartment it runs to the front where one of the lines drops down and the other has an elbow type fitting and rons accross the top of the engine to a vacume housing on the diverside of the the engine. (just above the valve cover on towards the back end of the engine.) Mine was a bit easier to see as the hose was there but just broken in the middle.

I replaced it with some vacuum hose from a completely different vehicle. and the vents work. Now for the moter not working .. can't help on that one right now.. anyways.

UPDATE:

ok so i have been meaning to post this for over a day now. good ol' work, always seems to slow me down...lol


anyhow!

So i took the doghouse off and pulled it from the vehicle, found where the line goes for the vaccum near the PVC valve and ran new 5/32 hose from there to the front T adapter and then all new line up front. checked and air is super ICEY now.

I decided, who know when I'll need more hose so I purchased 20 feet of this hose for $17.00+ and was happy witht he approximate 10+ feet left over and am loving the new van now.

I occasionally have a "no blow" heat/AC motor problem.
I stumbled upon an incredibly simple little fix.
The spade lug connector that plugs onto the
fan box (yellow on my 89) was loose.
It's happened twice in the past month.

I need to replace the little female connector
on the wire but for one reason or another,
haven't done so yet.

I just pull over in the 110 deg heat, pop the
hood, and press on the connector. It comes
back on.
