In the process of buying a new used car I stumbled on a 2000 Safari, not on my radar as an option I might add. In the 80's I had a 74 3/4 ton Chevy Panel Van and years later replaced it with a 79 3/4 ton Chevy Passenger Van. Both of those took me all over the southwest for fun and work. Camping, hauling my motorcycles, trailers, canoe, you name it. Big fat wheels, rockets, beds, girls, beer, and fun!
Six months after purchasing this Safari I have done more camping in a single season since owning those other 2 vans. Yeeee Haaaa! Vans are versatile and now somewhat fuel efficient, which is why I gave up on those older vans, though I miss the V8.
I have not done much to this Safari except replace the stock wheels, with American Racing wheels, and tint the front windows. After much deliberation on tires, soon to come, I have decided on 235/70/15's and air shocks on the rear.
Hope the pictures come through,
