WANT MORE PONIES!!!

Post by huntnfreak »

Just checking in, got the 2000 Safari all e-tested and certified but now, I'm ready to do some minor tweaking without engine swap or loss of miles per gallon. Will probably look into a K&N air filter. Haven't done cap, rotor or plugs yet but likely due for it. Like to do cold air intake but not sure whether would affect mpg. Any other suggestions? I have the 3.23 rear differential and automatic transmission.

Best bang for the buck will be rear axle gears. Go to 3.73's or 4.10's and the van will be a different beast. The next option for great gain is a V8 swap. If you want a crisper shifting trans to transfer more power to the rear wheels, a transgo shift kit and corvette servo is a must have combo.
