No biggy ... the carpet pulls up right? Nothing a little "handyman's secret weapon" can't fix.

Lets see if anyone picks up on that reference XD

Well, I attempted the throttle body blade mod today. I am no astro expert and probably didn't have to pull the doghouse.

The entire time, I kept thinking....damn canadians!

Actually, I do like the torx bits and metric bolts. It's kind of like working on an Austrian Toyota. :axe:

Well-I finished up the "mod". What I did was remove all the pieces which left me with three holes. I used JB weld to fill the holes and then sanded them down the following day. The S-10 guys are pretty big into this mod-of course they can leave over their intake-we of course have to use a mirror.

As for the results, I do realize that we drive a giant, flying brick-and I have AWD. Any upgrade will be through these filters. What the mod does do is provide more air through the throttle body at lower input throttle. So, at 1-50 percent throttle, it "Feels" peppier. Full throttle is still full throttle.

I also removed the honeycomb thingy. Don't notice a difference-but I do feel better.

Anyway, put it all back together, noticed a difference and it doesn't have any codes. Couldn't be happier for a mod that cost me zero dollars.

I polished 3 of my aluminum wheels on the van. Had to remove them, polish them with a buffer attached to a drill, get the tight areas by hand, polish the lug nuts and center caps and then wax everything. Took 3 hours per wheel. I think I might have been better off just buying new ones! I'll finish it up tomorrow night. They look pretty damn good! :supz:

I just finished polishing my last wheel on the van. 3 hours each...3rd day in a row. At least they look halfway decent now. My new tires felt awesome during today's commute! :D

AAA is a good thing. Grumpy has been towed twice without really hitting the pocketbook.

Yesterday, I blasted around Michigan snow-covered roads in my AWD Astro. I do not take it out everyday. The most exotic AWD vehicle I have ever driven was a Porsche 959, on a nice, dry, unregulated road, and the Astro in crappy weather makes me smile nearly as much. More snow tonight, more smiles tomorrow.

I have the fancy one-piece wipers but find that the passenger wiper does not make contact on the far right side. Is this just an astro van thing?
