Really hard to say. Both have Cadillac Northstar throttle body plates and get off the line pretty good, but Green's transmission has a relatively fresh hopped up rebuild and Grumpy's transmission is stock, starting to slip and uses Lucas Transmission Fix to operate normally.

I hauled a bunch of stuff over to the new place... Technically it was yesterday, since it's after midnight, but I haven't slept yet, so we can call it "today."

With those mattresses, the highway was kinda frightening. We had a bit of a south wind, and I was headed east. Every time that wind picked up I could feel the van rock. I half expected my right tires to pick up off the ground, but they didn't. :yikes:

After fighting with a stuck servo cover and tearing a valve body gasket, Grumpy is now part Corvette.

cool
I havent been on in a while so here what I've done so far.
started stripping surfin safari for parts. removed doghouse glovebox ccupholder thingy, my stereo system, the red bucket seats, and the intake manifold. still have to remove: driveshaft, top of motor, engine accessories (fan, pulleys, etc)- thats all sitting in the van interior- all badging, taillights. might take the flip out glass panels too. I dont plan on letting much go to the boneyard since I'm only gonna get scrap value for it.
ben driving the road beast around town. she gets roughly the same mileage as surfin safari (same engine after all). tow/haul mode is awesome. makes the van feel alot more torquey. I havent timed 0-60, but it pulls alot harder about 40mph than the old van (it'll throw you back in the seat) and has a numerically higher rear gear so I'd guess sub 9 second (old van was 9 second flat). not bad for a van.
also did my first burnout in the van today (in reverse). its alot harder to get this van to make tracks since the tires are pretty good (they're kuhmos).
still have to put on new air shocks. mechanic says all 4 shocks are blown on the van (that explains the sea sick feeling above 70 mph)

oh- and I've been getting my caddy interior back together (I know I know, its not an astrofari) thanks to some '93 olds bravada seats and matching console. wired up a new radio in the center console. reinstalled factory radio in dashboard. I still need to raise the console 2 inches so its more comfortable (so I can rest my arm on it and reach the wheel)
