Started to take apart the shop van's rear end to have a housing to send to the rear end shop to copy for the Ford 9".Letting it drip drain into a old deep Ford hub cap with the rear cover off overnight while it is up on the welding table.

Replaced the old worn out factory shocks today... I guess I got my moneys worth. I mean they did go 154,000 miles.

Well, I wanted Bilsteins, was considering ACDelco stockers, But my current situ said buy the cheapest to just get by for now. I bought a set of Napa Response shocks. Not Bilsteins, but, they keep me from getting car sick. The only thing keeping the originals extended was the van's springs. They were toast.

Finished stripping 10 bolt to go to the rear end shop to be copied for the Ford 9".Pulled the tilt column out of the shop van to go into Ole Yellar.Pulled the blem interstate battery out of the shop van.Pulled the rebuilt alt out of the shop van and the belt.Defiantly got to get the tranny yoke to save for storage of trannies and is still a open question if I am going to grab the tranny too.

Hey Jim,

I will post up the conversion details and my road trip details when I get back in town in mid July. It is super fun to drive and made for great sleeping from 1am to 7am at a rest stop in Northern California.

Today I installed 2 new front door handles on my 1999 GMC Safari. It would have been a PIA if not for the help from some members who posted some how to info. Thanks for that. Unfortunatly I unhooked the postive from the battery before unhooking the power windows and now it won't stay running. It dies after firing once. Ideas?
