removed the non-factory Kenwood stereo from the 04 and replaced with a slightly updated newer Kenwood stereo, to which i added an aux input for my iPhone and put the input plug in the dash next to the stereo. I also dug out and installed my old bazooka tube subwoofer behind the drivers seat. Stereo sounds much better now and I can listen to Pandora and iHeart Radio without headphones. :bounce:
I have a ban hammer and I ain't fraid to use it!

I drilled out and replaced the broken rear door handle.
While I was in there I welded a couple of rods in so I can lock and open the door from the inside.

Drove around the mountains n. of Wallace, ID. Thought I had real problem when I nstarted to feel a miss and smelled rubber burning. Found a spark plug wire had popped off. Fixed and resumed touring until stopped by snow...

this is something that requires the invoking of Rule 6b....

I have never understood why GM built the Astros and Safaris with no interior handle on the back doors.

on the right, push down to open.
The knurled one is the lock push-pull.
Just lean on the door while you push down the opener, doing 60, and you will understand why GM didnt offer that. My kids and I had a good safety meeting about the in-door mod!

Pretty straightforward, sorry if not digital enough for ya.
Go undo the 4 screws that hold the door handle inspection/cover plate.

Look inside.

I welded those rods to the rods inside the door, when I replaced the door handle.
