Volt gauge issue

Post by alexalexanders »

So wheres the correct place for the needle to run on the volt gauge?
Mine has been up around 14(middle dark line) like a line below, but lately it has been going down to the first dark line (which would be like 12 volts i think) and stays their then sometimes it goes back up to normal. Any ideas? Battery is a year old, alternator is stock(to my knowledge). Van is a 94 with only 100k, ive had it since 76k. Is the alternator takin a crap and maybe since the battery is still pretty new im not havin any slow/no starts? :-k
