We are finally done with snowshoeing for this season! Ben had his final race on Saturday at Camp Gorham, Eagle Bay, NY. The course was 2.71 miles and Ben finished it in 32:02. He came in 1st overall and of course 1st in his age group. The 5k was for runners 19 and under. He beat out 4 Paul Smith's College runners! The weather was nice...it was around 40 degrees and raining hard! The snow was deep, mushy, slippery and sticky...perfect for slowing down the weaker runners. :muhaha:

He played leap frog with one of the college kids until later in the race when Ben just pulled away! They were breaking trail the entire way.

Got to say i love it. :D I sweat when it was -11 degrees below zero at eagle bay. I have under armor cold-gear racing paints and log sleeve shirt for racing. I have a racing hat and gloves that come of within 1 mile because i sweat so much. :muhaha:
