Passenger side middle row seat belt

Post by kkesler »

How does that song go? "Just a swinging'"? Is there somewhere to secure that thing that I'm not seeing? My van spends most of it's time with the middle seat out, that belt swinging around is getting old.

There was a thread on that a while back... Here it is. There's a lot of tips and tricks there, but the easiest (and what I do as well) is to flip open the compartment back there and tuck the belt inside it.

Thats a really quick fix.
As usuall, I have a really cheep one, although not quite as cheep as free.
I pulled the belt all the way out, rolled it up very very tightly, then used a few zip ties to keep it all tied in a bundle at the ceiling, rather than hangining from the ceiling. Worked good enough for me.

On my 91, I pull the plastic housing off (don't need tools) and the seatbelt will go back inside it with neat folding. Then I snap the cover back on. If I need it I can pull cover off and thread it back out.

Thanks, I did try a search but evidently didn't use the right terms. There is a stack of those red velcro ties in a gig box in the back of the van as we speak, this just got too easy. Thanks!

That's what I did too. Great minds think alike. :partyman:

WOW! You made my year! I fooled someone into thinking I have a brain! Thanks for the compliment but don't worry, it really can't go to my head.
