Hello from Nova Scotia, Canada

Post by vortecastro »

:canuk:

Hello. Ive been reading/checking out this forum for a couple years now. I have 2 Astrovans ('97'), one Safari ('98), a '97 350 Vortec 350 4x4 parts truck, a '92 350 TBI 350 4x4, a '96 305 2wd parts truck, and a 4 bolt main 350 short block.

My plan is to build two 350 astro awd/4wd's..I'll be posting in the V8 swap section for some helpnafter tanks

Thanks for creating/maintaing this site.
I've owned a few Astro/Safari vans, nothing currently on the road though, hope that's about to change.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I've done a few swaps over the years...Honda Prelude...complete interior and auto to 5spd swap. Swapped a Mazda MPV 5spd awd into a Toyota. Swapped a Nissan Maxima3.0L V6 into a Suzuki Vitara ,engine and FWD tranny mounted sideways, complete with 0-16" adjustable air lift suspension.

....so I should be able to tackle a V8 swap into an Astro...but to date its not running yet :yellin: lol

Looking at your pics, I can't wait to see what you can do to an Astro. Welcome!

Me too! Lol. I'm usually 3 bolt bins deep in a 4x4 build this time of the year. We have an annual run the 3rd weekend on May.....but we're trying to close in a house (with garage and 15 acres) so not much is getting done in the garage.
