Okay, I see that checking for new posts is working on this new setup. However, the board doesn't seem to realize that I've already read them. So every time I come back on, I see the same 8 posts flagged as new.
Or am I doing something wrong?

+1 to Rob's comment. I'm seeing the same post as a "new" post. Yet there are other posts I see newer than the one in questions.

Re: View new posts working?
Rob,Cecil, you could try clicking on the "mark forums read" button on the "Board Index" pg after you have checked out all the new posts, then when you check the forums later it should only bring up posts which have occured since you were last on,worth a shot.
Another thing to use is the "view active topics" button from time to time, just in case a new topic gets by you the 1st time.
