Mine works fine with 235/75/15. Which are 29". With no rubbing or trimming just had my rear springs re arched and added air shocks for support. Front torsion bars turned up and custom upper ball joints for alignment Rides great and lifted 4 in. And was easy on the wallet

Thanks for the feed back guys. Time is money they say, but like most I like to save money if possible.

So the plan is to go with the S-10 springs and I'll pick up some pucks from North Shore Off road. Perhaps they would have a line on the longer bolts as well.

The 29" tire size sounds about right, no rubbing and won't change the gearing much.

I'm already prepping for the lift, I sprayed some lube on all the bolts that I need to remove today. They were suprisingly rust free.

Green machine, the lap of Vetter Mnt with the local and maybe some not so local vans would be good in the summer.

2 @ 10.9HC14-2.0x140mm (fastenal part number 0122050)

bolt part numbers. any machine shop, or supply house should have them.

fastenal in chilliwack will order them by the each if you phone in. If not, you'll have to buy a whole box.

Thank's for the great info. This is going to be easier than I thought.

Any easier and you guys will be doing the actual install.....and I would miss out on the bruised knuckles.

Just placed a order from SDtrucksprings.com for s10 leaf springs (thank you Marktainium) and will pick up the body spacers and bolts (thank you thegreenmachine) locally.

Good choice. I installed those same springs last summer. I had to grind down the center bolt that holds the pack together but other than that it's simple. Remove the stock leafs and install these in their place. Oh and I received mine in Oregon 5 business days after ordering them. Welcome to the Lifted club.

H2Ojoe what height of lift did you get with those springs ?

And somewhere someone said something about installing the springs front to back from how they would be installed in a S-10. Any insight on this ?

they will only fit properly in your van, one way.
Dont worry too much about how they fit into an S10.
If you put them in your van backwards, you will notice right away that the wheel isnt in the well properly.
Do one side at a time as it avoids putting the spring in backwards unless your both blind and dumb. Lol....
I run 235-75 15 as well - and they do not rub.
You'll be 4 wheelin in no time....

I think it's safe to say we have all been there before at least once...

when i installed mine, i put them both in backwards.....
spent an hour cussing, and almost freaking out.
got one side bolted in, but couldn't get the other side to work..

after i removed one, i measured from eyelet to center bolts. its not centered, it us not symetrical (sp?) ther is i beleive a 2" difference, the spring site should tell you, if I remember correctly the shorter distance goes forward.

btw 225? i'm gonna have to order those. my old sagged out pick-a-part springs suck......
