I know it's not a site issue

Post by peter »

..but I need help and dunno where else to post this.

I get a red X in place of the pictures some people post. Had this problem before and my 'puter gal fixed it. It's an issue again. What do I do?

LMAO

Can you let us know which thread this problem is occurring on?

Usually (not always) when you see the red X,it is because the person who had the pic has either moved it or deleted it from their photo hosting.
Sometimes its YOUR browser settings that will need to be tweaked,to see which problem you have right click on the picture and then click show picture or some simaliar command. If the pic doesn't show then most likely it is due to the 1st explanation,if the pic does show then its the 2nd explanation,if so, what browser are you using??
One other thing you could try is IF you have a second browser try it and see if the pic works, let us know (preferably some time this fiscal quarter,LOL)

My my, but you're funny. And smart too. "Fiscal quarter", no less....

This one to begin with. And I'm using IE.

I'll check to see if the problem exists using Firefox

Ok, no red X, but the word "image" appears instead. In either case, still no pic

Peter, I use Firefox and I'm also getting the "image" text without the photo on the address you gave. I just figure the problem is elsewhere, like where the photo is hosted.

You forgot "Devilishly handsome" (in a serial killer kinda way) too.

O.k,thanks for the link, after trying the reload (show pic) command I get nothing as well, just for kicks I copied the image address and pasted it into a new browser window and still nothing,SO in this case I would say that the pics have been moved or deleted in the photo host ( http://www.bladeice.com/van/IMG_0002.jpg )

If your IE and Rob'S F.F and my Opera cannot find the pic and the image address doesn't reveal a pic then the problem is def with the pic host.

I knew it! I just knew Mr Singh was a problem the first time I read his post. The guy wears sandals, I tell ya! I tried to look the other way, tried to be accomodating. Looky what the result has been. Mayhem! Chaos! A complete catastrophy.... ](*,)
