Worked on the 94LT's driver's side stop/turn signal light.Had me going for minute.Narrowed it down to a bad socket.Got it to work for now and guess I'll pick one up on the next junk yard run.

I watched a youtube where a redneck used a bbq propane tank with a valve and a thin tube.
He stuck the tube threw a small hole in the air intake so the propane gets in just before the TBI, and runs his van on that!?!! Lol

Not a Bad Idea...

Better than carrying a 5 gallon can of gas.

How far did he get?

alternator went out on the van. :( gonna change it out tomorrow. anyone know the easiest way to get to it (theres a bunch of hoses and AC stuff in front of it) I'm thinking might be able to get to it from the doghouse but not sure. at least I have a spare alternator.

had the radiator replaced yesterday. 2000s rad. split yesterday and was spewing coolant on the ground. JY radiator I had bought leaked too, so I took it and my core to the JY and got some credit, which I put towards a set of leather seats for the caddy. not bad for $43 (not including store credit).

Hi Jim.Not to rain on anyones parade here.Convention says in my experience to over inflate tires wears out the center of the tires. My question here is wouldn't it make more sense to buy tall narrow tires to get the same effect and then have even tire wear???.My thinking here is the costs of replacing worn out center tires exceeds the gas saved. Also the factor of how tall the tire is has a point of limiting returns where too tall would adversely effect the gas mileage.Just looking out for you bud.Thanks.

Gary,

Here is a pic of an over-inflated tire that lasted well over its rated 50,000 mile wear guarantee.

I will have the same results on this set.

Enjoy, Jim

done and done. got the alt changed today. removed the air box, MAF and attached tube thingy, and the upper fan shroud. grabbed the spare alt out of the parts van and put it in. took about 45 minutes but I got it done before it started heating up today. tried to jumpstart it but the battery was dead as a doorknob but that didnt work so well. taking the battery to my mechanics tomorrow to sit on the charger for a day, then it should turn right over.
