I ordered a new set of manifold gaskets and tracked my tranny. Gaskets and tranny should be here in 2 days! Looks like I got a lot of work to do. I have been without my DD van since the middle of May. I have really missed it! And I missed all the sexy legs in traffic too....how I LOVE my lifted van!

Started tearing stuff apart to change the intake gaskets, injectors look pretty crusty so decided good time to upgrade, looks like van will sit a couple days until the parts arrive from RockAuto!

Oh nice! I'll be doing the same this weekend. Are you gonna replace the valve cover gaskets too? I'm just wondering how much of a PITA that is and if there is even enough room to do it....

Stuck a new 800 CCA battery in mine...was dieing after about 12 hours. Other than that I have been driving it! I used a $30 off coupon from Advance Auto Parts...enter BIG30 for orders over $75. :D

Poured in some brake fluid... Still trying to figure out all my other problems. Why does it all break at once? :cry:

have ahd an ad on craigslist for front end sheetmetal (selling it)
got 2 calls: 1 guy wanted a rear diff, another guy wants my transmission. what part of I'm just selling sheetmetal dont people understand?

are those snow plow mounts for the astro? I thought they discontinued them?

I finally got around to doing my front brakes. New rotors/hubs and bearings and new pads of course. I got a quote from my local aafes garage and the labor would have been $170.00 for the two hours job. And shockingly it only took me a touch over two hours. Usually it takes me longer to do things. I took a couple of pics. But I got too "in" to the job to remember to really document the experience. Oh well.

Yes they are. I called Snowbear and they did discontinue the Astro/Safari mounts but still had 2 sets in stock! :supz: I ordered a set as I will be getting a used plow from a buddy of mine. He had it on his Kubota RTV 900 for a few years and he recently sold that. I sold the Fisher V-plow I had on the truck to finance another project that I still need to post about. My plan is to park the truck for the winter as it gets around 8.5 mpg in the cold weather.
