Re: Attention Gun Nuts

Post by peter »

Like you said, mebbe a bit too hot for your average rifle. More worried about the abuse the gun would get than the extra kick!

I have an FN FAL and a H&K G3 in 7.65 (.308). Both rstricted (meaning you can't just take 'em anywhere like a hunting rifle or shotgun). I just renewed my membership at another range near my home, this one's for rifles. Looking forward to shooting my green'n blackies there.

I hear ya, dj. Frustrating, isn't it? They were willing enuf to stick a full-auto in your hands while in the military, but now you're relegated to Joe Citizen dumbass status. [-(

Darren, I sense that you're not into guns. Don't ask me how, I just have this "sixth sense" about things. A gift, actually. Frustrating to say the least, I was always under the impression that Californians were pro-gun. Yet after watching Clinton & Obama going at it, I get the impression that California is more of a liberal stronghold. Mind you, there are also 2nd ammendment diehards who are liberal as well, they're just not as common.

So tell us, why is Darren so uninterested in guns?
Is Dawwen scared dat da big gun go boomboom? Dawwen no like boomboom? :yawinkle:

Petey & DJ, you can always come out to Montana. No such silly rules exist out here. Ranges? We don't need no steenkin' ranges!

And very few liberals to make stupid gun-control laws. You don't even need a carry permit if you have a hogleg strapped to your hip. You just can't carry an open weapon into places like:

The Post Office
Banks
Gas Stations
Bars/Casinos

Heck, standard equipment on a Pickup is a rifle-rack in the window!

What the ...
Do we live in the same freaking Country!?!?

Wow Peter. What else do you collect? The only "guns" I own are my paintball markers, splits out 20-30 balls per second or as fast as you can pull the trigger ;p

Real guns I have fired Jericho, Glock 27 (I think?), M4 with iron sights - no attachments or whatever, Grand (M16 like WW1 style) and the FNC which is that an FN FAL? I dont remember but I do remember it used the same bullets as the M16. Sniper guns M21, M24 and a C3? Till this day I dont know why on earth my friend's dad would have a C3 but we were camping in woods and marked out targets quite far way ... the M21 being old still seemed darn good was bested be the M24 and the C3 was just nuttzo loud and made me think "why!?" - I am excluding the shotguns cause I dont remember what they are hahha.

Just curious ... why do you collect guns? I am surprised no one asked ... or is it because I shouldnt ask?

Not sure about the different designations. The Can. Forces FNC1 was the FN Fal (in .308, also known as the old NATO 7.65 round). I think the FNC2 was when they traded the broomhandle in for the canadian version of the US M-16, this weapon fires a .223 round (also known as NATO 5.56).

Why so many guns? Darren hit it on the head. Small pipi ](*,) :muhaha:

Not because I love to kill. Used to go hunting, but it's been awhile. Caught a mouse in a trap in my house last week, I felt guilty the whole day for having killed it... [-(

Ahem. The .308 Winchester round is also a 7.62x54 NATO round, not 7.65 mm.
