Rear end floating around??? Help!

You will get a small amount play from sid eto side in the rear, built in clearances, should be no more than maybe 1/8". That will give you a popping noise also, all my GM cars/trucks have had it. Have the mechanic check out the ubolts holding rear to springs, sounds like you're movement maybe from there and /or the rear shackles if used from Overlands. I had a 5" lift on my RWD drive and never experienced what your talking about...seems wierd, something sounds lose. I would recommend going for the higher end of neg camber, seems to help the outer wear on AWD/4x4' s as they the tires seem to really roll over while turning causing outer wear. I have 3500 miles on my new tires on my Tahoe I lifted and they are already showing wear, the shop aligned it to almost 0 camber, need to have it redone.
