My next door neighbor built a show Gremlin years ago. Candy Apple red with a 383 stroker in it.
Would chirp a tire in the driveway going from park to drive. Wonder it didn't torque itself into a knot when you mashed it. :muhaha:

I know this has nothing to do with the pictures of the show, but speaking of overpowered cars...

I had a friend in tech school that had stuffed a 509 inch Cadillac V8 into his '91 Camaro.
If the road was wet it would scratch the tires with the lope in the idle speed when his foot was off the brake.
If the road was dry and he opened the throttle with the brakes on, it would start to spin the tires at 1400rpm.

It had lots of torque!

I thought the rear fender chrome reminded me of the '50. It seemed like the '51 was shorter and wider and then they added a "tail" off of that for '52. Thing is, my memory is only ONE of the things that isn't working like it used to.. Loved the pics, tks.

Love that Pontiac, was that a Bonneville? I do have to admit though that I don't the idea behind upholstering the inner fender well. Look real close on the left front you will see the same style of material as the dash....

That Studebaker brings back a memory. When I was a senior in high school my best friend let me drive his Studebaker. One afternoon after school I returned the favor by turning it over. We climbed out the windows, flagged down a large feed truck and had the truck driver wrap a chain around the now very crunched Stude. He flipped it back on its wheels and after a heart felt thankyou we were on our way. Ah !!!!!!!! Youth. Those were the days. \:D/
