You don't want to go to an all digital dash unless you want a mountain of headaches.

The reasons I didn't post pictures are simple.

1. I translplanted a 93 cluster into my 92 because the 92 cluster had a faulty gauge, not faulty lamps.
2. All the bulbs in the new cluster work.
3. At the time of posting, I was unemployed and on extremely limited funds.
4. I was only posting the part numbers for general information. So why should I post pix of PART NUMBERS? I did, however, post links of said items.
Oh i DO want to go to a digital dash have to get the cluster out of our 95 to use as a template before i think about tearing into mine plus i can't justify the switch since my dash works now and L.E.D. switch i can justify (since bulbs are burnt lol)

i was thinking about replacing my overhead lights since they are really dull but have never gotten around to it
I was gonna do that with mine to. Actually i did, but i didnt like the bulbs that i got they arent that bright: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... MEWNX%3AIT

Filament:

LED:

I like the color but they are too dim. The dome lights are the same bulbs and they look even dimmer.

Im gonna return those ones and get these: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-39mm-High-Power ... 286.c0.m14
These ones will be nice and bright.

If your ever looking to replace you stock bulbs with LEDs, get SMD LEDs. They look like little yellow circles. They are much brighter than other LEDs. And the more LEDs in1 bulb the better.
i noticed something about them on the site posted above thanks for the pics gives my a good idea of what i'm in for

If your thinking about it, you can use this site to find the bulb numbers of most of the bulbs in your van:

I did a quick-n-dirty to come up with a figure for changing all the incandescent bulbs for LEDs. I missed the dome lights and the step lights and the electronic flasher. But it'll cost you approx $125.00 to swap all lights (dash & outside lights) to LEDs.

Wow thats not a bad price!! and it will update the look of the van for sure!!
Oh and it should be noted that if your replacing the tail light or side marker bulbs make sure you get the same color LED bulb as the lens (amber/red). It will be much brighter than replacing it with a white LED.

and the LEDs will probably last longer than the van.

Fede, great post.

I am going to ask that up upload the pics to a photohosting service like Photobucket and relink them in your posts.

Linked the way they are from astrosafari.com is considered stealing bandwidth (using their server to host pics on our site)

I would not like anyone on AS doing this to us, and I'm sure that AS wouldn't like us doing it to them.

You could also sing up for an account in our gallery and upload them there.

Thanks
I have a ban hammer and I ain't fraid to use it!

Cobra,
for your comparison photos, can you please show the light reflecting off of something, such as a map to show the illumination, rather than taking a photo of the lamp itself?

Hmmm...
Aside from the the gauge cluster, none of photos with LEDs seem significantly brighter, just a different colour. Can you show us what you used and how you did it, Cobra?

Now that I have 120V power in my van (power inverter), I was thinking of mounting some of these 23 watt CFLs to illuminate the inside.
