I hope to make that trip as well, I plan on taking my son with me. I want him to remember and honor those that have died for our freedom.

Slightly off topic, but relevant:

Equally sobering is a trip to a concentration camp. To this day, I can STILL see Dachau in my mind -- VIVIDLY.
