Skippy, The people running AS.com's server may have band an IP address close to yours and that maybe blocking you from the site. The only way that can get fixed is if WILL (where ever he is) calles the people running the server and has them fix it. The problem has nothing to do with IE or FireFox.


To test this click

Start/Run/ type CMD click OK/ This will bring up a DOS window.

Type ping http://www.astrosafari.com then press enter.

It should start Pinging http://www.astrosafari.com [209.177.148.162]

and you should start getting Replys back. If you get Time outs or not available then they are blocking your IP address.

In the last day or so, I have had more and more speed problems here. At least it isn't down, but it almost seems like it is.

Thanx PJ , I'll try that . would like to now why i have to use a proxy to get in . Its a real PIA .

well as it turns out , it was AS all the time . as soon as the board was fixed after the last crash , i could get back in with IE & firefox without the proxy again. i'm just glad that i can get in with out having to use a proxy , that was a real PIA .
