They still list them by part number..

54274389 is the Inlet Tank, rockauto price is 22.79
89018396 is the outlet tank, rockauto price is 41.99

Search by part number, they are acdelco parts now.

The aluminum rad core has a bunch of "fingers" at each end. You need to pry them open to release the tank, and pry them close to seal with new tanks. There is a rubber seal underneath to keep it from leaking.

funny i searched those numbers i only got a hit on one of them at rock i did however phone around here and found a rad shop who had what i wanted in stock.... the owner said that he rarely puts the skimpy (i can't remember the word he actually used now lol) rad back in the astro's he's worked one. i went and picked it up at lunch today :supz:

the one I got is 1 inch not exactly what i was looking for but an upgrade for less then the stock would cost me at work. I believe this core was used on the sierra 2500's in 98 but i'm not sure yet
I was inspecting the new rad at the shop and it does look simple to install a new core on the tanks maybe I'll try and rebuild my old one after i switch it out.
