Yeah Dean!

Woot, I love the van and I love the grill. If you were closer I'd be trying to talk you into swapping my composite lamps/grill and my aluminum wheels for your steelies!

Thanks. When I get a smoked bug deflector on the hood, it'll look pretty sharp I think. I do want a set of alloy wheels though.

I've got three extra alloy 5 spokes with junk tires on them. Paid $25 for the lot at Hinton Chevrolet. Just incase I ever want to build a trailer or something.

I bought one set of 5 off Craigslist for $100 to mount my AT's on, and another set of 4 off CL for $75 to mount my MT's on.

Given those prices, it 's probably too costly to ship out the 3 extra's I have (once I remove the tires of course).

Yeah Tom, it probably is. Nice thing about the 03 - 05's is the different wheels available. Any GM 6 lug 1/2 ton wheel will fit! :bounce: A buddy at work has a set of old Z71 alloys that need blasting and painting. I may grab them and throw a coat of black on 'em. I think black wheels would look pretty good with white letter tires.

Thanks Logan...man does it feel good to see an Astro in the drive! :supz:

Got the oil changed and front end greased. Found the idlers are shot...on the to do list. Fixed the 5 engine codes by replacing the air filter and cleaning the MAF. I also found the O2 codes were set from a chafed wire that was rubbing on the front drive shaft. :bounce: Gotta love a free fix that took 15 minutes. :muhaha: I also turned up the torsion bars 3 turns to bring the front end up a little. Lynne and Ben started cleaning the interior and it is looking better already.

Next week is the aux tranny cooler and more cleaning. I may try to locate a pick n pull to find some of the interior pieces I need.

LiftedAWDAstro wrote:The game plan is as follows....change engine oil and filter, lube it up good while checking all front end componants, check all fluids and install the trans cooler when it arrives. Then fix the rear bumper and find a class 3 hitch. Lift the front end 1-2" to level it out. I also need to clear the SES light which is an O2 sensor I hope. I also need to clean the interior and start fixing the little things inside.

Down the road I want to get a bug deflector, vent visors, 4.10 gears, posi, 4" lift and some meaty tires...most likely Rock Rails....you know....the basics! :muhaha:
Congrats on your "new" van!
I have a class 3 hitch & 4.10 front diff gear set , both brand new, never installed. Also have a used 4.10 G80 gear set. I have been contemplating selling my stockpile lately. Due to the fact that Ive been stealing parts as needed from the lifted '94 for the '95.
