If you email brian at TBICHIPS.com with those numbers, he can hook you up with good info if not a new chip.

This is a piggy back system that uses a circuit board eliminates the back and forth sending of the chip until you get it right. You program the board because it replaces the chip.

The code you gave, BHRD, is the original V6 prom. So there is your first problem.

Now that you got it running in the stock V8 format,TBI Chips burn might help beyond that.As I said, the piggy mod eliminates that and you program it you self for whatever configuration you want that includes cam and head changes. The cam changes for a easier tune should have a 112 or 114 duration minimum. Also with cam swaps compression dictates cam choices in a big way and it makes no sense to have a big lift with the flow limits of the Vortec heads. The rough surface of the intake ports is what makes them Vortecs,so to smooth port them is counter productive. To do some port work on the exhaust port, you can gain some there. The Vortecs are a cheap alternative for the "just like" situation, but aren't.My brand name I like alot for a big bang for your buck is RHS.

Congrats on getting to run better. =D>

I am suggesting you heed my suggestion for tuning purposes about the duration. We had a member who's user escapes me that built a Astro pick-up with a dual TBI 383 and I think it was one of the Fast System ones.

If you want to look up my mild 383 parts build up it's I believe under Ole Yellar's 383.
