poured a can of seafoam into half a tank of gas with the hopes of improving fuel consumption.

I finished up my tranny installation and went for a short test drive. Finished up too late to check the computer so sadly I won't be driving it to work tomorrow...but hopefully soon!

went to the junkyard. picked up a cb for it (still need the antenna and the mic), but hey- cb's are cool
also picked up a pioneer 2 shaft 2 channel radio (from 1987) out of an obliterated blazer, a new photocell sensor for the caddy's headlamps, and some hood trim for a caddy

Did the seafoam cost more than the fuel you saved afterwards? Lol...

I hauled 2000 pounds of pressed wood firebricks up the mountain to my place.
half in the van, and half in a trailer.
Ah, Nice toasty fire tonight.

It wasn't today but... I finally got to put some miles on the van on Tuesday. Running errands, etc. I really like this van and I am very happy with the way it turned out. I got a stare down and double take from a kid in a lifted S10 Blazer :yawinkle: I think he couldn't tell if it was factory height or not... probably drove around the rest of the day checking out every Astro/Safari he saw.

Oh... I did dump a can of Sea Foam in :D

Going to Delaware Sunday to watch a Vintage Motorcycle Observed Trials... good chance to check the fuel consumption.

I drove my van to work for the first time in 6 months! It was quiet, warm, smooth and powerful. I felt like king of the road again! I LOVE my van!

I went over to Costco today to pick up some new windshield wipers but found out the application booklet did not have a listing for the astro van. Oh these rare vehicles we own...right? Well, I bought every size 16-21. Turns out-the 21's fit. They run right up to the edge and for the first time...the windshield is clear edge to edge. Woot!
What do you think of my quest to swap transfer cases to the venerable BW4472?

I replaced mine a while back... I also couldn't really find anything, so I just eyeballed it... Think I got 17 or so... Way too small, but they work, so I'm not about to replace them until I need to.
