Chevy & GMC Vans

Our blue roll-up camp table worked fine for a night inside the van. Awoke the next morning to a 1st generation 4Runner pulling up to the trailhead to take his two very happy Golden Labs out bird hunting in the mountains. Was fun to just peel back the velcro window and take a peek, until Jen politely pointed out that I could leave right along with the heat I was letting out if I didn't close the velcro flap right away. There was frost on the trees needles.

Later we camped at Bar Creek.

One place that intriques me, as well as countless others, is Nooksack Falls. We stopped there on the way down the mountain, to very carefully play around the waterfall without actually becoming part of the 100' waterfall like others so tragically have.

My toys have cost me enuf for the few times I use 'em. But I will admit, it is tempting. Your set-up is awesome and seems to be pretty practical, considering that you're doing all of it in a minivan. One question, how do you get up into the sleeping area (poptop)? Do you climb up on something or are you just freakishly tall?
At 5'6", I'd need a trampoline....

She cooks,she camps, and she's not hard on the eyes at all ( does she have a twin sister? lol ) Tell Jen she's a good sport in our never ending insatiability for more pics. Nice set-up looks like lots of fun to be had and as always, nice scenery pics

BTW if your lookin for a heater to take the chill out,there is only 1 safe style out there ( besides electric ) its the Coleman Catalytic (sp ) heater, you still need to crack your windows a tad for ventilation and to allow moisture out, but it works great. I had lots of experience back in 05 with useing one and I'm still alive check it out...

They offer both single and dual propane cylinder (like for lanterns and cookstoves) models. I've got a single cylinder model and it puts out enough heat to keep my tent trailer or pickup camper heated in 40-50 degree weather. (Yes, both RVs have their own heaters, but at the time in question, they weren't working! Glad I had a back-up!!) I rarely used the "high" setting, so I wouldn't be surprised if the heater would have done a good job in 30 degree weather. I don't know how long a propane cylinder lasts, but I never ran one out while using the heater. I'm guessing full use over the weekend could run through three or four bottles. (You can also set them up to work off of a 20 lb propane bottle which would probably run a month.)

These heaters are availible at Lowes.These have a ox's sensor set to shut down well before any harm could happen to you.I think a 25' hose comes with the 20lb tank conversion.

No matter what they tell you,you have to be careful where you place these heaters because they do get very hot.I've been around one in use.

Didn't know they offered a base camp shower.Kind of cool.

Dang T-Low, I'm gone for a few months and look what you've been up to! I've always wanted to do that. I just never knew how it would look until now. Nice job!

I thought about looking for a poptop from a junked VW camper but it certainly wouldn't look as clean as yours!

I also thought about buying one of these, not the Toyota (although I wouldn't mind it) but the roof tent. Of course I couldn't stand up or cook in my van....

The roof top tents are pretty cool alright, but your set up is looking good.

I've been hanging out with some Land Rover dudes that have the RTTs, and its definitely cool.
