That would be sweet, but too much time and money for me. I would love to have the dutch door top half and weld the two lower doors together. Maybe swing em out sideways still but as one door, like old school station wagons.

Yeah I saw that post. Sick! I wish I could come up with the time, money, or talent to pull that off. I wonder if these would work for the rest of us that are a bit more metalcraft challenged.

Looks like you could do the same thing with these.

I got a custom set of mats for the van and they fit so good when I tested them, I decided to leave them in. I love the way the rear seat ones wrap around the seat to the side.

Made me realize how crappy the carpet is. Gonna get replaced once the interior comes out before it goes to paint.
Also got some exhaust tips that are very low profile. I'm gonna run two of these out the center just under the rear tag.

I might send them to the machine shop to see if I can have a slight angle cut into the very end of them. What do you think?
Or should i leave them like this? Except mine will exit under the bumper not cut into it.

Leave them as is. If you cut them they will be a rust problem. Love the 49 Merc. That was my first car.

They're stainless so rust shouldn't be a problem. Just not sure if I like them straight the way my rear roll pan tends to roll under at the back.

interesting to say the least.... myself, I hate the super low profile wheels... I want a bunch of rubber between me and the road, but that's just me.... to each they're own (i guess) =;

Got the exhaust done today. I trashed the original cat and replaced it with a Magnaflow high flow cat. I had the shop mount the tips where I wanted and they got em perfect and even made it possible to adjust the tips a lil bit. I was gonna use the original muffler since the previous owner replaced the whole exhaust system, but they called and said it would be better to use a single in dual out muffler. I told em I wanted to keep it quiet and I didn't ask what they put under it. I like it though nice and quiet except when I really get on it. I hate the way our V6's sound with pipes and resonate inside. Any way enough yappin I know you want pics.
