I'll have to say, that after shining the pipes, elbows, clamps, mis hardware I could hardly lift my arms! I see why they get the $$$ for polished stainless now. And that stuff gets hot and slick on the buffing machine.

Roll out! I got a new finally computer that works. Well my van was put on the back burner again, but i do still get to tinker here and there on it. It rides right on out. Only 1st and 3rd in this video. I don't have the ecm figured out yet to get it to shift.

When I read the title of your post, I was thinking what a great idea. I would love to have a diesel powered Astro. But after looking at the pictures, I'm blown away. That thing is a monster. I wish Chevy or GMC had made a diesel version. That would be a perfect towing vehicle. Your build is quite ingenious and I can't wait to see the finished project.

Yea, there are a few that did a GM diesel swap. But lets face it the 6.2 was a joke, and and the 6.5 is not really much better. I would have loved to do a D-max but the cost of one put it so far outa reach that I could'nt even see it. My van has really gotten out of control. I never planed to go to such extremes..LOL I'll keep working on it.
Thanks

Now, that's a diesel Astro. I was thinking a 4bt might be a great swap into the Astro but that I've seen a 6bt... (-:}
