thought they went to side in 58 but you guys are right I'm sure. I wasn't much for anything built in 58,59 and 60 other than the Vette.

Intake installed today, using ARP Stainless bolts.Picked up the new valve covers
But they are for a later model p/u,So the oil cap
is way back there & I'll be adding a new breather up front.
No big deal,Stephanie approves of it,So we'll leave it at that.
Tomorrow new valve cover gaskets will be ready for pick up.
So the pic's you see the valve covers are just placed there,
The Helix tower & TBI base are also placed there to show
where we are headed with it.

I think if you flip that valve cover around the filler and PCV port will be in the right spot..

Scott,
No It does not work.
It's not really a problem as I do not run
the return line,It has a tendency to foul up
the injector tower/regulator.

I would definitely put a breather on that, no use sucking garbage into such a nice looking engine. The biggest thing with these is the garbage the TBI sucks into the engine. PCV is actually an emissions device that is actually in turn very good for an engine. The reason is that pulling vacuum promotes ring seal, it reduces oil leaks in turn and it can even increase MPG. Depending on what brackets I use, I want to hack a smog pump to be a vacuum pump because that is a step past a PCV system in the fact that it is great for power and reduces blowby even more than a PCV system does.

repear,
I didnt clue in that your using a TBI so stuff is in a different spot then mine!

I noticed tonight that the oil filler wont bolt up exact either, have to move the bracket on the tube. But I'm sure yours is totally different as well :) Lots of fun though

So lately the past weekends have not been the best for weather, but I've been slowly picking away at the RS. The inside of the van is really moldy cause the original owner was a slob with sticky fingers. So all his finger prints are now mold cities. And after getting over a really bad head infection and bronchitis for 3 months I am very much terrified of touching this van that sat outside for 3 years now. I had the van covered from the weather but it wasn't enough. I've got the front seat removed and the front carpet is out. The rear seat is out and the rear heater cover is off and now the panalling in the back is next. The dash that came out of our old van that the V8 came out of is going in the RS. But it's blue so Sanja painted it for me, a nice red. Looks like the engine "new". The RS's dash wash cracked and broken. I will take pictures of progress and post soon. I had also de-greased the engine bay to the best that I could. It's not long now till the engine goes in...

The weather was great this weekend so we did some more work to the RS
When we got the van the drivers door around the handle was severely damaged
from attempted theft,A fat dent & part of the handle cut out was gone.
I took a stab at it with the welder & added material,& left it in primer (primed today)
until I finish it with mud.
Stephanie removed the front bumper, lower skirt, fog lamps & did more wiring harness
cleaning.
