Improved on the manufacturers design by making it with 1/4" angle and adding 2 support pieces that bolt to the bottom of the front cross member.

Added driving lights too. Switch is on the left. The switch and lights above the XM radio are for the Taurus fan high and low speed indication as well as the winter/summer mode switch.

Image

Mounted them through existing push tab holes in the bottom of the bumper cover.

Image

I mounted a 40A relay on the firewall next to the fuse box to control the lights.

Finished.

Didn't quite like having the lights low like that so I moved them. Made a couple of aluminum brackets and drilled/tapped into the front bumper impact beam.

Was it for aesthetics or just to protect them?

Added new door pins and bushings, aux reverse lights and mud flaps leftover from the SPB. I've put over 7500 miles on her already! The Nitro never gets taken anymore! :muhaha:

Updated pic with the plow mounted up:

Also figured out I have the mid-sized Snowbear plow. This one is 22" x 84" where the one on the SPB is 19" x 82"

Looks good.

Some Timbrens in the front would offset the plows weight.

By the way, Lifted. Why did you favour barn doors over dutch?

I found on the 03 that using the hatch most of the time left the hinges stiff for the lower door. The lower left door almost wouldn't open due to sticky hinges. I like the look of the barn doors better.

Added different style backup lights. There are Truck-Lite 4" model 40's. I bought them from Napa for about $22. Parts needed: Lights, Grommet, and Pigtail

First, remove the bumper cover.

Image

I then marked spots 12" from center on both sides and drilled an 1/8" pilot hole. Once that was done I put the 4.5" hole saw in the drill and proceeded to drill out both holes. I used lube to keep the saw cool.

Image

Image

I then inserted the grommet and wired the pigtail to the existing wires I had run for the other lights. White is ground and red is the light. Black is not used.

All wired up without bumper cover:

With bumper cover. I like it better without. What do you guys think?

Nice job, Dean. I like it better with the cover. It looks more finished.
