OK... I've found out that the distributor in our 97 Astro AWD has a "Cam Position Sensor" in it, not a "Ignition Control Module"!!!
Any idea where they mounted it???
I've looked at the photos of it from several sources & it has me stumped!!!
I was told that it is possibly mounted next to the coil on the same bracket, yes or no???
What is the proceedure to check/test it???

I've confirmed that on this 97 Astro the "Ignition Control Module" is indeed mounted on the coil's mounting bracket.
Now all I need to know is the procedure for testing it.

Any idea where I might find the procedure for testing the Ignition Control Module "off the car"???
