Mexican Astro

Hello, next is a pic of my 1998 Astro LT.
I live in Mexico and i bought it in Phoenix Az last year....actually we can import used cars from US and I think Astro is the best option for me.
The others cars from my wife 2003 Honda CRV and my son 2007 Nissan Platina appears in the picture.

Sonora plates, bought in Phoenix, are you in Nogales?
I love Mexico. My dream is to build my Astro, then drive it thru Tijuana down to Cabo San Lucas, ferry across to Mazatlan, continure thru Puerto Vallarta, Ixtapa, Zihuatenao, and work my way over to the Yucatan, drive up to Cancun and around to Monterrey and up thru McCallum. Yeah, I know, keep dreamin.
Meanwhile, enjoy the website and enjoy the Mexican winter.

Welcome! BTW nice van too. Besides being jelous of your new van, I wish our winters here in the mid-west US were like yours! Man it would be nice not to have to deal with rust....

Is it true that Mexico just passed a law that you can only import 1998 model year vehicles, or was someone just blowing wind up my body cladding?

Yes, in March 1, only 1998 models can be import, then it must pay 15% additional tax over the value of the car...bad news......
