Driving/fog lights where did you mount them

Post by dean89 »

I miss the extra lights that were in the lower air dam on the old style front end, plus I don't like having an extra switch to nothing on the dash. Post up where you put the extra lights on your van. Right now I think the best prospect is next to the license plate in the bumper or maybe behind the grill. What do you guys think?

Get a front bumper cover from Stillen. You get great looks and a place to mount the fog lights. :supz:

You could just mount the fog lights under the bumper. For Off road lights it is nice to have them mounted higher. see the stainless steel curved shower bar install of Hella 500 in a previous post.

Summit Racing does offer a neat light bar bracket that mount behind license plate.

Here's a pair of driving lights in my bumper cover. They're set back a little using 4in. PVC and then installed on the back side of the PVC.

And if they look yellow, it's because battery was low and motor wasn't running. \:D/ :butthead:

I cut out the holes at the bottom of the bumper and put them in there.... This photo is from the day after I installed them... they worked untill the next day then the left bulb blew and the relay died... moral of the story...

Well, the Summit Racing catalog, from last summer had some made by Westin, or Rhino, I think. Bascially, the front license plate is removed by removing the 2 bolts. the light bar consists of a flat plate that goes behind the license plate and there are horizontal arms that extend above the bumper. But that light bar costs over $100. The Stainless steel curved hotel style shower rod is only $59 or so at Home Depot. It is made by Zenith products I like.
